§ Mr. DewarThe Scottish Office have two work-place nurseries in Edinburgh. The service is provided by Marilyn Morris Nurseries under contract to The Scottish Office. Nursery places are not subsidised although accommodation is provided free by the Office.
857WSubsidised places at holiday play schemes are offered to staff in Edinburgh and Glasgow (at a total cost of £968 in 1997–98). These operate during the Easter and summer school holiday periods. The play schemes are run by Customs and Excise in Edinburgh and by Kidcare Ltd. in Glasgow.
The Scottish Office does not participate in a child care voucher scheme.
