§ Mr. MichaelThe Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis tells me that the basic policing cost for the Countryside Alliance Protest March on 1 March 1998 is expected to be £187,239. In addition, there may be some overtime and support services costs which cannot be calculated until after the event.
