§ Mr. GalbraithFife Health Board's draft Integrated Health Care Strategy identifies options for the future provision of maternity services. This is based on advice from clinicians that split site obstetric and paediatric services are no longer acceptable and that these services should be integrated into the main Victoria Hospital site for best clinical quality. The proposals will be subject to public consultation. The capital and other implications of this proposal are currently being considered by Fife Health Board and the Trust.

§ Mr. GalbraithQueen Margaret Hospital NHS Trust has indicated that, based on the total building cost of Queen Margaret Hospital, the cost of the maternity ward and delivery suite component was approximately £1,000,000. These facilities are now being used by the Trust for other purposes.
