HC Deb 17 February 1998 vol 306 c575W
13. Mr. Paterson

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how many inspections of imports of agricultural produce there have been in Scotland in the last year; and how many consignments were refused entry to Scotland. [28080]

Mr. Macdonald

The question covers a wide range of agricultural products and much of the information requested is not held centrally. As regards controls over Specified Risk Materials and imported meat, inspection procedures are now in operation. It has not been necessary to refuse entry to any consignments in Scotland.
