§ Mr. McNamaraTo ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what representations she has received on extending the statutory remit of the SACHR in line with320W management and policy functions. The time required for this second review cannot be foreseen, but I would expect it to last no more than a further three months.
In carrying out the study my Department will consult the Environment Agencies and the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency, representatives of local authorities, business and industry, environmental and health groups, experts in the field of air pollution and health and others with an interest in the Panel's work.
Comments from interested parties would be welcome by 23 March 1998.
