§ Mr. RaynsfordI have today placed in the Library of the House a table showing the 30 English Local Authorities with the best and worst Council Tax collection rates based on Council Tax receipts 1996–97 as a percentage of Council Tax due 1996–97. It is not meaningful to present the information in terms of cash collected as this depends on the size of the taxbase of the Authority.
