§ Mr. ByersInformation on class sizes in January each year is collected from maintained primary schools as part of the annual Schools" Census. Since January 1996, the Department has collected data for primary classes by Key Stage and since January 1998, we have collected data by Year Group for Key Stage One classes to monitor reductions in class sizes for these Year Groups.
