§ Dawn PrimaroloI have received a number of representations in favour of a reduced rate of VAT for hotel accommodation but nothing in respect of other tourism goods and services. Given the regular increases in recent years in the number of visitors to the UK and the amount they spend, there is nothing to suggest that the UK tourist industry is suffering because of VAT, but I am continuing to monitor the situation.
