To ask the President of the Board of Trade what action she has taken to ensure her(a) Parliamentary and (b) DTI office machines are millennium compliant. [26394]

[holding answer 30 January 1998]: Computer systems in my Parliamentary office are millennium compliant. My Department is pursuing a programme designed to ensure that DTI computer systems are millennium compliant. It aims to identify instances of non-compliance and resolve them as necessary via correction or replacement.
