Mr. Livsey

To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if (1) he will assess the extent to which sheepmeat imported into the United Kingdom from outside the European Union is from flocks not fed meat and bonemeal in ruminant rations; [27067]

(2) in what circumstances it is permissible to import beef and sheepmeat into the United Kingdom from countries that include meat and bonemeal in ruminant rations, if those countries are assessed by the UK Government to be free of BSE. [27058]
