HC Deb 04 February 1998 vol 305 c709W
Miss Begg

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will extend tax relief to parents paying maintenance for disabled children over 18 years old; and if he will estimate the cost. [25607]

Dawn Primarolo

Parents paying maintenance for children may be entitled to tax relief until the child reaches the age of 21, and this is the case whether the child is disabled or not. We cannot estimate the revenue cost of further relief for disabled children.
