§ Mr. RaynsfordAdvice on the siting of wind turbines is contained in Planning Policy Guidance note 22, "Renewable Energy" (PPG22). This sets out planning policy in relation to renewable energy developments. The annexe to PPG22 on wind energy provides detailed advice on a range of issues that may affect decisions on the siting of wind turbines. That advice covers, among other things, the visual impact of wind turbines, the considerations that apply in designated areas, noise, access and safety.
