§ Mr. Win GriffithsI have recently announced plans to develop a new approach to the problems of waiting lists and to deliver our manifesto commitment to reduce the length of time people have to wait for treatment.
Information to the end of September 1997 shows that 92 per cent. of people waiting for an outpatient appointment are seen within 6 months and 90 per cent. waiting for hospital inpatient or daycase treatment received it within 12 months.
