To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if the Forestry Commission has found that the New Forest Fox Hounds were in breach of their licence as a result of events on 3 November. [62247]

Letter from Bob McIntosh to Mr. Desmond Swayne, dated 16 December 1998: I am writing in reply to your Parliamentary Question (No 62247) addressed to the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. regarding the hunting incident in the New Forest on 3 November 1998. The Forestry Commission considers that the New Forest Fox Hounds were in breach of their licence conditions on 3 November. We have agreed with the Masters of Foxhounds Association a clarification of the particular condition that the Hunt breached to ensure that there can be no ambiguity in the event of any future occurrence.
