§ Mr. BoatengIt is for each police force to assess the likely impact of the Millennium Bug on its information technology systems. All forces have conducted audits of their Information Technology and communications systems, and will have contingency plans to ensure the continuation of critical business areas. Forces are expected to meet the costs of this exercise from within existing budgets.
117WTaskforce 2000 receives no funding from central Government. However, the Government have funded Action 2000, established last year to advise United Kingdom industry and the public on tackling the Millennium Bug.
