§ Kate HoeyIn November 1998, there were 258 sites for speed cameras in the Metropolitan Police area, 15 in Surrey and 250 in Thames Valley. Comparable information for 1993–1997 is not available. Cameras are rotated around a number of sites to maximise their use as a deterrent.
