HC Deb 02 December 1998 vol 321 c203W
23. Mrs. Ann Winterton

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if she will make a statement on progress with the Government's anti-drugs strategy in Northern Ireland following the appointment of the UK anti-drugs co-ordinator. [61220]

Mr. Ingram

The current strategy for tackling the drug problem in Northern Ireland was published in 1995. With the appointment of the UK anti-drug Co-ordinator and the production of a new 10 year strategy for tackling drug misuse, that strategy is currently being reviewed. A new strategy document is expected early in 1999.
