§ Mr. Tony LloydBritain is working hard for peace. We are actively encouraging all states involved in the fighting in the Democratic Republic of Congo to pursue a negotiated settlement. We have made it clear that there can be no military solution. Only a process of dialogue and negotiation can bring about a settlement that will last.
