§ Mr. MilburnWe expect health action zones (HAZ) to deliver within their area measurable improvements in public health and in the quality of treatment and care. The East London and City HAZ plans particularly to address the health needs of young people, to improve access to services and to work with highly disadvantaged communities to improve their health. The HAZ partnership has committed itself to improve mental health and reduce deaths from coronary heart disease and stroke.
