§ Ms Glenda JacksonAs a result of the £365 million of additional funding the Deputy Prime Minister has announced, total investment in the existing network over the next two years will be around £1 billion. London Underground is currently developing the details of its investment programme, including how to accelerate its plans to improve the accessibility of the network. It is not possible at this stage to say what proportion of the additional funding will be spent on specific projects, but the programme will be designed to ensure that the benefit of the additional funding is maximised.
