§ Mr. RaynsfordA survey commissioned by the Department of the Environment in 1995 to explore how local authorities work with the private rented sector found that about 30 per cent. of local authorities employed tenancy relations officers. However, about 80 per cent. of London Boroughs and over half of the metropolitan authorities employed tenancy relations officers.
