§ Mr. BanksMy right hon. Friend the Secretary of State has had no such discussions. The criteria for Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) awards are determined by the Trustees of the National Heritage Memorial Fund, the body responsible for the HLF, in accordance with their statutory powers and the policy directions issued by the Secretary of State. The HLF plans to issue revised guidance on canal projects later this year, which will take account of the Inland Waterways Amenity Advisory Council's review of Inland waterway restoration priorities.
