§ Mr. Win GriffithsThe proposals for the dairy industry are part of the Agenda 2000 reform package which has recently been published by the European Commission. The proposals have been broadly welcomed by the UK Government. The Welsh Office will continue to work closely with farming unions in Wales to identify and argue for the needs of both Welsh dairy farmers and Welsh agriculture in general as discussions move forward.
