§ Clare ShortMy Department does not provide direct funding for Russian newspapers. We have no plans to support BEZDNA. But we have engaged "The Big Issue in Scotland" to provide technical assistance to a similar street newspaper which benefits the homeless in St. Petersburg called "Na Dye" ("The Depths"). We are considering how the experience gained from this project might be extended to other regions in Russia.
