Mr. Cotter

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how much has been collected in fines from independent retailers for selling tobacco to those aged under 16 years in each year since 1979. [38307]

Information is not collected centrally by the Home Office on the amount of moneys received for fines imposed for specific offences.

The table shows the number and amount of fines imposed on offenders convicted for offences relating to the sale of tobacco to persons aged under 16.
