§ Mr. Dewar[holding answer 13 March 1998]: In preparing assessments of options for interim accommodation for the Scottish Parliament,my officials made outline estimates of the comparative capital and running costs of solutions based on the Church of Scotland Assembly Hall on the Mound, Edinburgh; and the former Glasgow High School complex at Charing Cross, Glasgow. These estimates included capital costs of necessary upgrading of the buildings and rent and rates over a two year period. The costs covered office accommodation required by the Parliament. For the
