§ Mr. Tony LloydThe United Kingdom independent expert on the UN Human Rights Committee is Lord Colville. The recent report covering the Royal Ulster Constabulary was by the UN Special Rapporteur on the Independence of Judges and Lawyers, to the UNCommission on Human Rights. We have submitted its formal response on the Report to the Commission explaining our concerns over its comments on the harassment of defence lawyers, which we are examining closely. A copy of our response will be placed in the Library.
