§ Mrs. Ann TaylorThe amount of time for private Members' legislation is set out in the standing orders and the days for its consideration are agreed by the House at the start of each session. It would be wrong to change these arrangements at a time when bills are already going through the procedure. The amount of time allocated overall in future sessions is something which could be looked at by the Modernisation Committee.
