§ Dr. StrangAnglia Railways, Gatwick Express, Great North Eastern Railways, Great Western Trains, Island Line, Midland Main Line and North Western Trains allow bicycles on all of their services. Passengers may need to book in advance. The other operators ban bicycles on some of their services, typically during peak hours. The Government are keen to promote the use of bicycles, and to ensure that as far as possible the railway provides suitable facilities for cyclists.
