Dr. John Cunningham[holding answer 10 February 1998]: I undertook a number of official engagements in the United Kingdom during January, most of them in London. All involved use of a car at some stage. With the exception of my attendance at the Oxford Farming Conference, where the train timetabling was inconvenient, none was sufficiently far away to merit travel by rail, or to require me to take a plane. I did, however, take the train from Gatwick to Victoria on my return from visiting the Windward Islands.
