Dr. John Cunningham[holding answer 17 March 1998]: My officials are in regular contact with EU Commission officials on the progress of our proposals for a Date-Based Export Scheme. Officials representing the United Kingdom at the Standing Veterinary Committee will discuss the Date-Based Export Scheme when the Commission has prepared and tabled their proposal for consideration by the Committee.
