There has been much support for the abolition on 5 June of the primary purpose rule.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what progress has been made in implementing changes in the primary purpose rule. [11657]

§ Mr. O'Brien
The primary purpose rule was abolished on 5 June. A review of outstanding appeal cases has now been completed.
