Which Ministers are currently occupying houses, flats or apartments owned by or leased to the Government, and what notional rent has been assessed by each of these.

The following Ministers are currently occupying properties owned or leased by the Government:

  • Prime Minister
  • Deputy Prime Minister and Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions
  • Chancellor of the Exchequer
  • Foreign and Commonwealth Secretary
  • President of the Board of Trade
  • Secretary of State for Scotland
  • Secretary of State for Defence
  • Secretary of State for Northern Ireland
  • Paul Murphy Esq MP
  • Adam Ingram Esq MP
  • Tony Worthington Esq MP
  • Lord Dubs

Ministers are not charged rent but are liable to tax on the value of services provided up to a limit of 10 per cent. of their ministerial salary.
