To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will make a statement on future public expenditure planning. [16603]

Mr. Darling

The Government have set up a Comprehensive Spending Review (CSR) to examine all areas of Government spending. New public expenditure plans will be announced after the conclusion of this review.
