§ The Attorney-GeneralThe Code of Practice on Access to Government Information applies in relation to my own office and to the Treasury Solicitor's Department, for which I have responsibility. In the light of the exemptions from disclosure under the Code and the nature of the work we do, requests falling within the Code are unlikely. Internal guidance prepared by the Treasury Solicitor's Department none-the-less exists and is being updated. A copy of the new guidance will be placed in the Library.
