§ Mr. Ian McCartneySince 1 May 1997, there have been 86 successful applications made against employers at Industrial Tribunal hearings in the United Kingdom where the main jurisdiction fell within anti-discrimination legislation. In 28 of these cases, awards were made to the applicants.
