§ Mr. DenhamOur Manifesto committed us to introducing pension sharing for divorcing couples. My right hon. Friend, the Secretary of State, announced in June that we would be publishing a draft Bill this parliamentary session with the intention of implementing pension sharing from April 2000. This is an important step in helping meet our objective of narrowing the pensions gap between women and men.
