§ Ms Glenda Jackson[holding answer 3 November 1997]: As Section 1(4) of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 requires, the Birmingham Northern Relief Road Concession Agreement makes provision in certain circumstances for compensation payments to the Concessionaire. Under the Agreement signed in February 1992 by the previous Government the detailed provisions about compensation payments were agreed to be commercially confidential.
