HC Deb 10 November 1997 vol 300 cc450-1W
Mr. Flynn

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what criteria his Department has set for the registration of packs of fox hounds which hunt on their land; if such packs must also be recognised by the Master of Fox Hounds Association; and if he will make a statement. [14442]

Mr. Spellar

Foxhunting on the Defence Estate is regulated by the licensing of hunts which are officially recognised and accepted by the Committee of the Master of Foxhounds Association. The licence is issued to a hunt representative who must be a member of the Master of Foxhounds Association.

The registration of packs of foxhounds in the foxhound kennel stud book is a matter for the Master of the Hunt.
