§ Mrs. Beckett[holding answer 4 November 1997]: My Department has a target of answering 90 per cent. of correspondence from hon. Members within 10 working days. In addition I refer the hon. Member to the answer given to my hon. Friend the Member for Walsall, North (Mr. Winnick) by my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister on 3 November 1997, Official Report, column 5. Figures for handling DTI correspondence will be published in due course.
