§ The Prime MinisterI held a constructive meeting with Mr. Gates on 7 October at which a number of issues relating to information and communications technology were discussed, including the Government's proposals for the National Grid for Learning, which I launched that day. Mr. Gates briefly commented on the current status of the computer millennium compliance problem, action in respect of which was announced on 29 September by my right hon. Friend the President of the Board of Trade.
