§ Mr. Chris SmithMy Department is responsible for co-ordinating the Government's interests in the Millennium. Through the Millennium Commission we will be spending nearly £1.8 billion of National Lottery money on projects—great and small—to mark the year 2000. My Department is also working with other organisations involved in the process of planning for the Millennium to ensure proper co-ordination.
