To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security, pursuant to his answer of 27 February,Official Report, column309, what percentage of the total amount of national insurance contributions from employees was paid by (a) those with more than twice and (b) those with less than average earnings in (i) 1979–80 and (ii) 1995–96.
