§ Dr. Liam FoxThe stub of the new jetty was completed in February 1997. It can now be used for limited movement of people and supplies. The full jetty is due for completion in late May 1997. There is continual appraisal of the risk by the scientific team on the island. Contingency plans are in place for the rapid departure of essential workers from the harbour if the circumstances change.
