Mr. Wldegrave[holding answer 10 March 1997]: In 1994–95, identifiable expenditure per head was £4,505 in Scotland and £3,760 on average for the United Kingdom, as given in table 7.6B of Public Expenditure Statistical Analyses 1996–97 (Cm 3201).
