§ Mr. GummerDischarges from abattoirs into the public sewer are regulated by the relevant sewerage undertaker under powers contained in the Water Industry Act 1991. Discharges from abattoirs directly into controlled waters are regulated by the Environment Agency under powers contained in the Environment Act 1995.
