The Secretary of State for Transport has asked me to reply to your recent question about the costs of upgrading the Al between Walshford and Boroughbridge in North Yorkshire.The outturn costs will not be known until the final account for the works has been settled, which may not be for sometime.The total tender cost for the main works was £54.35m excluding VAT.
