§ Mrs. Browning[holding answer 11 March 1997]: On a full-time equivalent basis, the Meat Hygiene Service—which is responsible for these matters—currently employs 13 full-time meat hygiene inspectors at three licensed fresh meat premises in Nottinghamshire.
The Meat Hygiene Service also employs additional casual meat hygiene inspectors at these plants where necessary for holiday and sickness cover.
