Dr. FoxThe UK bilateral Government-to-Government aid programme to Sudan was suspended in 1991. Since then the United Kingdom has provided over £100 million of emergency assistance bilaterally and through the EU to the Sudanese people, including refugees. £28 million of this was committed to vulnerable groups in the south affected by the civil war. The provision of emergency assistance is determined by need, access and security. It is not subject to political ethnic or commercial considerations.
