§ Mr. Jonathan EvansI have received many representations about the effect of the 1997–98 local government revenue settlement on the work of LEAs. It is, however, for each local authority to decide how much of its available resources to allocate to individual services such as education taking account of its statutory duties and its perception of local needs and priorities.
